Bombing Competition
11 August 2010
Description
Any fixed wing aeroplane may enter as long as it can drop a bomb. Most people use the SLEC type as they are safe. Sharp points are not allowed for safety reasons. The model may take off or be hand launched. The bomb is then dropped onto a target. The bomb drop is timed from when it leaves the aircraft to when it hits the ground. The distance from the bomb's final position to the target is measured. The distance in meters is added to the time in seconds to give the score. The winner is the pilot with the best single drop.
