We've just been informed about another incident at the flying site. On Tuesday morning a member was flying outside the field boundary, over the fishing lake and chicken farm. Ken received a complaint from both owners and was evidently not happy.

We must keep our models within the field boundary (inside the power lines), see diagram on website. Flying outside this area is strictly prohibited and against the club rules. Members who consistently break the club rules will be asked to leave the club.

Any further incidences of this nature could quite easily loose us the flying site. We must all be extremely vigilant and warn fellow members if they are flying out too far. As you know flying sites are not easy to get so let's keep this one!

    Fellow Club members,
I have been approached by the Rotary club of Woking (Charity not helicopters) about taking part and providing a display of static models and flying small electric helis and park type foam fixed wing models. I visited the site this morning and have worked out a way we could fly there.
It is at Winston Churchill school and would be on the August bank holiday Monday.
They need to get permission from the school to use the area that I said could be used for the flying.
It really is only suitable for flying electric helis and small aerobatic type park flyers although if we did go, the static display could show off any type of model.

If any members are willing to take part at this event either with the static or flying, please let me know.

We may not get permission to use the area in which case we would not do just a static display.

    Thanks
    Graeme

We now have permission to fly models over 7kg from 10th June until the end of the year. The maximum flight ceiling for models over 7kg is 400 feet.

IMPORTANT All models weighing more than 7kg are not permitted to fly at the flying site until we get permission from the ATC. Please pass this message on to fellow members.

    Hi guys,

Just completed my "A" cert IC fixed wing with Paul Heckles at the PH school of flying.(would recommend it very highly). Looking forward to finally getting to the field and enjoying my new hobby. Would like to get in touch with someone from the club who can check me out and provide me with a good grounding in the clubs' practices whilst at the field. (I am a member of BADMAC.)

    Many thanks in advance.
